  • Are you experiencing barriers to accessing capital to grow your food or farm business in northern Ontario? Are you values-driven, aiming to make a social, environmental or economic impact within your community? Whether you are financing a major project, purchasing equipment or completing renovations, we are here to make your vision come to life.We’re pleased to be partnering with the Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance (NOFIA) to discuss fair financing options available for northern food and farm entrepreneurs. During the session, we will discuss financing options available to you, financial barriers and challenges you are facing to grow your business and hear from successful northern clients.The Fair Finance Fund provides:
    • Funding available from $20,000 up to $200,000 for businesses across the agri-value chain
    • Capital for start-up costs, equipment, working capital, expansion activities and more.
    • Ways to incorporate financing from the Fund with grants, other funding and cost-sharing programs
    • Mentorship during the loan period from experts with decades of experience in food and farming
    • Resources available from business planning, financial management and marketing through our online and in-person business resources
    • A community-minded network that wants to reshape the future of food by investing in you
