Financing:3-year loan, 1 year grace period. 5% base interest adjustable down to 2.5% based upon social equity impact metrics being achieved.

Vancouver Social Value Fund’s team provided an impact-adjusted loan to support CleanStart’s expansion to Vancouver Island through the purchasing of an additional vehicle and other operational support.

CleanStart is an award-winning social enterprise that offers a one-stop-shop for housing and property cleanup needs, while also offering employment opportunities to people who have barriers to employment, such as poverty and disability. CleanStart hires, trains, and supports marginalized individuals, contributing to community economic development in Metro Vancouver and Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
